Clear Lake Houston, Texas

The Clear Lake area is located within the Bay Area of Greater Houston. It is just 25 minutes from downtown Houston on the shores of Galveston Bay. Known for great sailing, wonderful seafood restaurants and other water activities, the Clear Lake area is a Houston hotspot. This community is adjacent to NASA's Johnson Space Center and is in close proximity to other major aerospace companies, including Lockheed-Martin and Boeing. Space Center Houston Rocket

The Space Center Houston is the official visitor’s center for NASA's Johnson Space Center. Space Center Houston has a multitude of attractions, theaters and permanent exhibits. The venue also offers an array of events and traveling exhibits that were created exclusively by the Creative Exhibit Team at the Space Center Houston. The exhibits helps guests embark on a journey through human adventures in space.

Some of the attractions at the Space Center Houston include a space shuttle replica of Independence, a space shuttle blast-off virtual experience and the hands-on exhibit where guests can test their skills at landing a shuttle. Other fun things to do at Space Center Houston include a NASA Tram Tour, a starship gallery and a special kid’s area.

Kemah Boardwalk

This Boardwalk overlooks Galveston Bay and features a number of retail shops, family activities and themed restaurants. Some of the best restaurants in the United States are located at the center of the Kemah Boardwalk. These include some of the most recognized names in the restaurant industry: The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, the Cadillac Bar and Landry's Seafood House. The Aquarium Restaurant is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that provides guests with a great view of the huge aquarium. They can watch the unique marine life while they enjoy a wonderful dinner.

The Kemah Boardwalk consists of 35-acres of carnival-like attractions. There is a 65-foot Ferris Wheel, a 36-foot carousel, and thrill rides. Guests can enjoy Midway and arcade games, as well. Thrill seekers will not want to miss the Boardwalk Beast. This boat ride takes passengers into Galveston Bay at adrenaline rushing speeds of more than 40 mph.

Armand Bayou Nature Center

This one of the biggest urban wilderness preserves in the United States and attracts visitors from all over the globe. It protects approximately 2,500 acres of forest, prairie, marsh habitats and natural wetlands. The Armand Bayou Nature Center is recognized as one of the best birding locations in the Galveston Ba. More than 370 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians can be found at the Nature Center. Other native wildlife found at the nature center includes white-tailed deer, hawks, river otters, American alligators and more. Guests also enjoy viewing thousands of native plants and watching resident Bison grazing the prairie grass. Paddle and hiking trails provide easy access to interesting outdoor experiences. Guests can visit a restored 1890’s family farm or take a bayou cruise.

University Of Houston School

University Of Texas Health Science Center
